A 50% R/neutral and 50% NPH/isophane crystal mixed insulin[1] that's intermediate-acting by Novo Nordisk.
Comparable insulins are: Humulin 50/50[2], Mixtard 50[3][4][5], and Insuman Comb 50[6][7]. Eli Lilly produced an identical insulin under the name Humulin M5[8] in the EU & UK; it was withdrawn in July 2004 from those markets[9].
